Williams Sonoma Enameled Bright Ripe Red Cast Iron French Brand Staub Cocotte 🍅

Celebrate the season's harvest with a collectible Staub brand cocotte in the shape of a ripe red tomato. Cast iron’s unparalleled ability to retain heat makes this piece a great choice for slow-cooking and serving soups, stews, pot roasts and braises. Made of enameled cast iron in a sculptural tomato shape. Glossy multicoat enameling ensures strength and heat resistance. Vibrantly colored "majolique" finish. Enamel coating resists rust, chipping and cracking and requires no additional seasoning. Black matte interior enamel contains traces of quartz to provide additional heat resistance and a textured surface that improves browning. "Stem" handle made of nickel-plated brass. Extra-heavy lid seals in moisture for tender, flavorful results. Side loop handles offer a secure grip. 3-qt. cap.; 12 3/4" diam.; 3 3/4" high. Made in France. This was bought new directly from Williams Sonoma and was never used. It was put in a rustic farmhouse style China cabinet as part of a display. There are a few slight imperfections as show in the pictures. There are a few small dots that is just part of the manufacturing process of the enamel glaze and is how it arrived to me. The bottom has light scratches along the edges just from being pushed around on the shelf. The stem on the lid has a very light wiggle in it but can easily be tightened by the screw under the lid I just didn’t want to attempt to tighten and risk messing up such a beautiful and show stopping piece. It was never used to cook.
