globalboutique @thenes ha ha ha ha ha ha....flooded with memories right now of Indian weddings. The only dress code which most people embrace is, "Wear ALL your jewelry and fine clothing." Some guests wear more than the bride! LOL

globalboutique @thenes It is not frowned upon or deemed as "upstaging the bride." It's a wedding - wearing one's jewelry and finest clothing is the norm. It is colorful, bright, and beautiful - a grand celebration. I had never seen coordinated dresses until I immigrated to the US a million years ago. Imagine the culture shock. Ha!
