Anchor Hocking Glass Co. The company was a major producer of Depression Glass “Block Optic” Manufactured: 1935-1938 Anchor Hocking made the Block Optic line from 1935 until 1938. The glass teacup is made of green, uranium glass with the signature Block Optic pattern. Uranium glass, sometimes called Vaseline glass (when yellow), contains trace amounts of radioactive uranium which glows under blacklight. It was a popular additive to all kinds of Depression glass.
