1 of Kind Necklace Alaskan Mussel Shell, Vintage 1950s Black & Multicolor Beads

Offering this one of a kind necklace made of vintage-made cut and polished mussel shells from Alaska's Kachemak Bay, vintage-made faceted black Gablonz Bohemia mourning beads, and Japanese glass seed beads. The mourning beads are so-called because they were made popular by Queen Victoria when she mourned Prince Albert, putting all the world into wearing black at Court. Original mourning beads were made of fossilized coal from Whitby It's 17 inches long; the longest mussel shell drops 1 7/8 inches at the midpoint. Be sure to look at my other unique listings; nothing comes from box stores. I do combine postage without adding fees.
