Presenting a very rare set of 10 Tumblers These can seldom be found online The pattern is often referred to as Lacy Flint and they are believe to made approximately c. 1825-1850, in France by the Cristalleries du Saint Louis Company. Unmarked but it is of high quality work. Very early type of sandwich glass. They are extremely well made. Embellished with acanthus leaves, shells, and scrolls in a gothic revival or Victorian style. Raised beading and scalloped bases, The underside has a unique ribbed design The background is stippled Tumblers measures 3.75" tall by 3-1/8" wide at the top rim. In condition for their age 2 cups have a sharp chip to the base but they are stable. 1 cup has a chip at the top rim. A couple of glasses have minuscule flea bites at the upper edge of the design. Barely noticeable. Overall in nice estate condition for their age.
