sunjunky1976 @dianapeeler Gold is such a soft metal, it must often be mixed with an alloy to make it more durable. 10k gold is 41.7% gold and 58.3% alloy. I took it in to Kay’s Jewelers the other day and they appraised it at approx. $115. I bought it for approx $300, 30 years ago. :)

dpeeler11 Yes, I understand about the percentages in carat content. . . I meant, is it gold plate/overlay or 10 carat "throughout." That makes a difference in whether or not it can be sized. Sorry for the confusion. It's a beautiful ring! I love the setting. Thank you for your prompt response!

sunjunky1976 To be honest, I’m really not sure. However, If I remember correctly, I have had it sized once. I bought it from a Kay Jewelers type of jewelry store. :-) I took it in the other day and they sized it for me so I’d know the exact size and told me it was 10k. Hope that helps! :)
