jayla1104 @mwhite4190 Hi hun. Gold filled means the item consists of hollow layers of pure gold . It is in fact solid gold . Unlike a plated item that is just dipped in it then it would be considered “gold plated “ I’m not sure what was the point of your comment? jayla1104 @mwhite4190 Just in case you were unaware a gold plated item will always have a .925 stamp and a karat gold stamping to signify that it is gold dipped over silver . Over time that item will tarnish . A gold filled item will only specify a karat gold stamp , meaning that it’s is genuine gold just hollow “dainty” as they are less in weigh and more economical but still considered “genuine” gold as this item will never tarnish.
