ppamprrd @mermaidsongs here goes...is there a guideline for what is considered a lowball offer? I just got an offer of $35 for something I listed at $60. I did counter back, but am not sure how to best navigate these things. Thank you for your words of wisdom 🤗

mermaidsongs @ppamprrd it's up to your discretion. But if I have a new with tags expensive item I think offering like $30 when it's listed at $100 is disrespectful. Sometimes I just decline those offers instead of countering because they're just so low. But it's definitely a case by case issue

mermaidsongs @fashiondiva382 hey! I've been a suggested user for three years. It does help get followers, but sales are never consistent. Sometimes I'll get nothing for weeks, sometimes I'll get 5 in one week. It seems random. It helps to follow and share a lot! And keep up with posting (I rarely do now) and sharing your own listings. If you follow posh rules consistently you're considered, and you can also be chosen by a user for a host pick. That notice is essential

mermaidsongs @ppamprrd I never applied. I got an email in 2013 saying I was one. I'm sure things have changed since then. I only hosted one party in winter 2014 and nothing since. I had to email about it asking to be considered. It went well but no other communication. I know they're always swamped

Just keep following and sharing especially people into the same sizes/brands as you. Get host picks and connect with big users. Posh friendships can really help!

mermaidsongs @milenasitek it does work! You need more followers, and to follow more people. Sharing the listings of big accounts can help, and “follow games.” I’ve had posh for years and sales either are really close together or really far apart. It’s hard to predict honestly

I’ve only been on here since 2/2018 but I’ve noticed big changes in what sells, ppl more confident in lower offers, far more thrift store items etc. even since then. I know the amount of poshers buying and selling has probably increased unbelievably. It’s a pleasure to meet you lovely

convintageous @mermaidsongs I figured as much. I don’t think 7 years ago that people really thought as much about buying at Goodwill etc. Now, they are addicted LOL. The only problem is that the poshers who are selling discount store clothes like TJ N.Rack, boutique, reg. sale items or like you, your closet are expected to go too low bc buyers are used to seeing unbelievably low prices from those that solely thrift. I occasionally go too but I prefer to buy new at great prices.

convintageous For me it’s more fun to find a fashionable hi end items at a great price at the stores & you don’t have to worry so much about something being wrong with it. I tried fixing a pair of Jordans once that was from thrifting, spent hours and made them worse LOL. The woman still wanted them, I told her, trust me,no you don’t 😂 and if it’s ur own then you know too. Well, you wear awesome clothes🙂 And.. you still look 21 by the way, actually younger.
