(2) Pink/Purple flesh Dragon Fruit cuttings cuttings from our home garden. Approximately 12” each This variety was given to me many years ago by a friend and I am unaware of the name. This plant produces beautiful large white flowers followed by a hot pink skinned fruit with vibrant purplish flesh. This plant is self fertile and does not require a second variety for pollination. Red/pink/purple & blue fruits contain a higher level of antioxidants compared to white or lighter fleshed fruits Dragon fruit/Pitaya can be grown in ground or in a large container with a well draining cactus soil mix and weekly or biweekly watering depending on container size and garden zone. Plants should be allowed to dry out between watering to avoid root rot. Dragon fruit plants are epiphytes and require a host tree, post, wall or fence to attach to and climb as they grow.
