grimsleysjewels @brynnkas To be honest, I’m not sure. I purchased it from one of our gem dealers as an Orange Sapphire (my favorite stone). I had my husband (the bench jeweler for our jewelry store) make a ring out it. I fell in love with it and brought it home to put in the safe. I’ll have to take it to the store tomorrow and inspect it in my lab and run a few tests on it to let you know exact information.

grimsleysjewels @brynnkas Just guessing (can’t know anything for sure until I test and inspect it), but I’d say it’s probably been heat treated to enhance the color.

grimsleysjewels @heidigoetz Hello! 99.999% of ALL orange sapphires available in jewelry and on the market are heat treated. That’s what gives them the vibrant orange color. If a seller tells you an orange sapphire is not heat treated, please beware.

grimsleysjewels @heidigoetz Ok, I’m in a network with 28,000 jewelers snd gem dealers. I’ll see what I can find. Are you looking for a particular cut (shape) or size (carat weight)? Any preference on type of ring it’s in (yellow, white, rose gold, or platinum)? With it without diamonds?

heidigoetz @grimsleysjewels Thank you! Definitely with diamonds and definitely white gold, don’t care if it’s 14k or 18k. Platinum would be great if the price is right. I wouldn’t want anything less than 1 carat but I also don’t want something huge. I’m a 6.5 I believe. Thanks again!!
