This 14k gold and lapis lazuli Egyptian scarab pendant on a gold chain is modeled after the coronation scarab of King Tut. Its inspiration can be seen on the bracelets worn by King Tut's mummy now located in the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Cairo. The back, made of gold, is engraved with the Egyptian hieroglyphics of the coronation. It is a limited edition piece (only 1000 made). The scarab is rather large, measuring 2 3/8" x 1 5/8” and weighing 128.9 grams. The 2 mm gold chain is 17.5“. Signed by the craftsman. The piece has been rarely worn and is in pristine shape, but the outside of it display box does show some wear from storage. Original for $8000, offering $4,500.
