14kt White Gold and Pink/Blue Alexandrite Ring Size US 5.25

I found this fascinating 10x8mm stone in a tin at a flea market. It is very likely synthetic. My parents kindly had it set into a ring for me as a graduation present. As such it is priced at a “I don’t reeeeealy want to sell it” price, but if you make the right offer on the right day, you just might get it. If you’re not familiar with alexandrite, it is a magical-looking gemstone that changes color depending on the ambient lighting. This particular stone appears bright pink in low temperature (yellowish) lighting and London blue in UV. In daylight it flashes in a melody and mix of those colors with a general impression of violet.
