Up for sale today is an 1880’s Swiss Bar Grinder 6 Jewels Men’s Pocket Watch with original winding key. This watch, ca. 1880s, has a white dial with blued-steel hour and minute hands. This watch also has a seconds dial with a gold plated hand. Serial # 13755. I purchased this watch about twenty years ago from the man who personally restored it to working condition. There is a 100% probability that the case is original to the movement. Winds adjusts with the same vintage key. The dial is excellent, hands are great, thick glass crystal in great condition. This is a really a nice example of this 150 year old time piece, as a lot of these have been knocked around a bit; however, this one has been painstakingly cared for. Nice decoration on the back . OK does it run? Well I had it running pushing on the winder that's for sure gave it an incentive to go. I just gave it a really good push to open it and now the watch is running just fine on its own will for a few minutes it stops and when encouraged to run again will run for a few minutes once more. Having said all this the watch seems 'overwound' is not winding hopefully we will get it wound down by the time you get it. This watch is being sold as is, with no warranty, and no promise it is not loosing time. As a result, the price has been established accordingly.
