Amazing condition and 100% genuine afshar rug. Stunning pinks & blues. Was used in staging a vacant home. Pup only layed on it for a sec as I was taking photo;) Hasn’t been around animals, no smells...excellent!

averyg43 @tennyson Hi! This is an 1890’s wool Persian Afshar in amazing shape. It’s so perfect I would keep but i have one place for it-bedroom entry area, and the two pups would end up turning it into their bed so that’s pointless. Too pretty for that;)

averyg43 @tennyson Yes, amazingly! I can hardly believe it either, with condition, but my mother’s husband is an expert at these things. He is an antique dealer. I bought it from him to use in staging a renovated home that was for sale.

tennyson Thanks! Re color: Main colors looks like pink/rose and blue. Is the darker color in the borders black or navy or a deep brown? Also, other than pink and blue, what are the secondary colors? Don't want to guess on our monitor. Last, is there a label on the back with contents, origin and knots per square inch? Thank you!!

averyg43 @tennyson Hi! I’ll add another photo. The background is deep chocolate brown. Antique handmade rugs don’t have labels with knots, etc, sorry:/

averyg43 @tennyson oh, I didn’t answer regarding secondary. I think other than pink and blue the only other secondary color would be the small amts of lighter olive/tan tone you’ll see as accent throughout, more evident in the close ups.

tennyson At work so can't see link. Where's olive color used--center of border flowers? Much olive throughout rug? Asking bc not huge fans of olive. :( If it's more an accent color, used in specific parts of the design and not throughout, it may work. Also, 4th pic with door, rug is orange. Is that the light? Thank you!!!

averyg43 @tennyson Yes, cebter of border flowers and probably more taupe than olive. Minimal amt, looks nice. It isn’t orange at all, just pink, so it must be the photo giving that appearance. The etsy link removes the extra %
