This antique hat was purchased in CA at an estate sale. It was from a private collection. Hat was owned worn in the teens by T.R. Smith in a California Gold Mining town called Goodyears Bar which is now a ghost town. Hat is distressed with moth damage to surface, has a couple pin holes on top crown, is missing original liner, and silk band is rough. Interior leather band is dry and has curling. This Hat is the real deal and can be restored easily or kept as is. I do not know the size. I wear a 7 1/4 and it is to small for me. True collectors of western Americana will appreciate this Hat.
