1920s Art Deco Giant Grip Celluloid Rhinestone Belt Buckle

Here is a very special relic from over 100 years ago. The Giant Grip Company created this belt buckle using one of the earliest man-made plastics. Black celluloid is the foundation for this unique ivory-colored Art Deco design featuring the letter D at the center. To incorporate a little sparkle, there are clear, red and blue rhinestones adorned throughout. With a bit of creativity, this would make an amazing necklace pendant or bracelet for you or a special person in your life who has a letter D initial. Of course, it could also be used as intended. It appears one of the clear rhinestones was replaced and there are some blemishes, but it is rare and 100 years old... Giant Grip Pat. 12-13-21
