This newspaper is incredibly fragile as well, given the type of paper they had to use to produce pictures on the paper (mostly woodpulp). Description: The Irish Civil War was fought between the Provisional Government, which supported the Anglo-Irish Treaty, and the anti-Treaty IRA. The war was a result of the treaty being divisive, requiring members of the new Irish parliament to pledge allegiance to the British monarch. The war in Dublin was a guerrilla conflict that included: Execution, Outrage, Revenge, Control of the streets by civilians and guerrilla fighters, and Alternating patterns of IRA violence and National Army counter-insurgency..
