1930s Jean Painleve ART DECO Seahorse Bracelet, Dress Clip Black Galalith&Brass

This Rare Vintage Original Jean Painleve 'Seahorse' Bracelet with Dress clips is in the Original Box from Paris 1930-1950s. The clip mechanism is strong. It was never worn, stored in the original box and kept in a jewelry box for decades. It is made with French Galalith known as Frensh Bakeelite. The Plating is in superb condition. History: Jean Painlevé’s Seahorse jewellery was produced to promote the 1934 film, The Seahorse (L’hippocampe, ou ‘Cheval Marin). He was a pioneering underwater film maker, and was a film director and biologist specialising in underwater fauna.
