1930's Monocraft Initial Brooch "MM"

This brooch is a Monocraft (early Monet) signed item, gold tone with the initials MM. It was made prior to 1937. The brooch is 1 1/2" across and in height. it has nice scrolling around the initials. More on the company: Founded by brothers Michael and Joseff Chernow, Monet started out as Monocraft Products Co. in 1927 producing metal monograms for handbags. The business was established in New York, but the company’s factory was located in Providence, RI. They branched out to manufacture monogram jewelry in the 1930s that had interchangeable letters so they could be customized. This early jewelry was marked Monocraft in block letters. Most of my items are vintage, estate or pre-owned items and will have normal vintage wear. Some items if missing stones are shown with a close-up photo.
