this book is printed copyright 1940 by Johnny gruel company All rights reserve copyright Great Britain 1940 printed and bound in the USA by Kingsport press Inc Kingsport Tennessee this book has 95 pages and has many color and black and white illustrations there is an illustration on almost every page it is exquisite there are anthropomorphic animals objects all illustrated by Johnny and the illustrations are all signed by him there is an amazing mule dressed as a woman there are butterflies ogres and princesses and little fairies and Sprites and other little creatures are not quite sure what they are cuz I haven't read the book but it's absolutely amazing raggedy Ann and Andy and a little dog with a hat are featured in many pages it's just divine it's in very good condition the address of the book are worn obviously it was much loved and probably read by a lucky child the inscription says Margaret Leah from mother January 42 so perhaps it was given as a birthday gift.
