This was my grandmother’s engagement ring back in the early 1940’s. My grandfather was a police officer in Sausalito during World War II and probably couldn’t afford anything more than this sweet yellow & white gold ring to propose with. The top has alternating squares of yellow and white gold to give the appearance of it being set with diamonds - adorable. The ring is a size 6.5, is marked 14KT inside and weighs 1.13 grams.
