1940s FOGA Black Velvet Dress

Incredible vintage 1940s silk velvet dress (photographing velvet is SO HARD MAN none of these pics truly represent how this looks in person, I apologize!). Beautiful shirring in shoulders and sleeves with two talon zippers. FOGA tag, Fashion Originators Guild of America. Most notable is the subtle design on both sleeves, threads very carefully pulled to create a heart design - I almost didn't even notice them! Good vintage condition, small seam pop under left armpit, minor pinpricks around skirt, some lose seams around sleeve caps, other issues shown in photos. If you plan on wearing, make sure you are definitely smaller than the below measurements as this type of velvet is notoriously easy to rip if stressed too much; fabric isn't fragile but shouldn't be put under too much pressure.
