1940's HOUNDSTOOTH WOOL SKIRT SUIT jacket set 40's XS S

Cute lil' 1940's skirt suit! Came to me from the original owner, who was born in 1914, and lived to be 106! Navy blue and cream houndstooth check wool. Shapely jacket with decorative piping. Covered buttons. The jacket is lined. The skirt is straight cut, high waisted, with metal side zip and button waist closure. I'm a US 4/6, and as you can see, this is really tight on me. The jacket isn't too incredibly small for me, but the skirt is much more like a US 2. Please compare the measurements below with non-stretch pieces you have at home that fit well. Overall this is in wonderful condition for it's age! I just picked it up from the cleaners, so it's ready to go. The last 3 pictures show some moth damage I found in the skirt, by holding it up to the light. They don't show when worn, because they get lost in the pattern. There's a few also on the jacket, but not into the lining (also pictured). The skirt buttonhole is fraying, but still functional.
