I purchased the necklace in a New Orleans Consignment Shop. This was my 1st and only time in New Orleans and had no idea of the history. Mardi Gras used to have a pageant and the winner was deemed the queen of Mardi Gras. I had no idea if this was true or not but I knew that the Ora brand of jewelry was highly sought after and made of a good quality. The owner of the shop told me that the necklace belonged to a family member of a MG Queen. Wearable condition.

Hi. Have a lot of the stones turned yellow? It’s hard to tell in the photo.
