1940s Paulux Porcelain French Provincial Statue Figurines,made in Occupied Japan

Rare Find. Vintage pair of beautifully preserved "Paulux" porcelain bisque, hand painted, Victorian male and female figurines in very good vintage condition. They were made in the late 1940s or early 1950s in Occupied Japan and the FEMALE figurine is stamped on the bottom as such. The MALE figurine only states, "Japan made" though he does have the "Paulux" stamp. (SEE PHOTOS) The pastel porcelain bisque is accented with raised beadwork and gold trim. The male figure stands approximately 13" high and is about 4" wide; the female figurine stands about 1/2" shorter and is the same width.
