1940s Sterling YAG 5 Carats

Hand crafted during the Art Deco era. YAG (AKA Green Garnet)In the mid-century the YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) was used as an alternative to a natural diamond. Very rare now due to the introduction of the Cubic Zirconia. At 5 carats, this large stone is a beautifully cushion cut! The ring has a secret sizing mechanism underneath that slides, very unique, and undetectable. It sits at about a size 7 right now. Great eye catching, green apple colored gem, in intricate setting!
