1940s black rayon dress with issues! Pinup

This poor 1940s rayon dress is too good to throw away. She's got a lot of issues (don't we all!). Fading, some dry rot, and some busted seams. But on a positive note, it has a back shawl with a weight!!! fishnet mesh, a drop waist, side metal zip, and gathered bodice. Could possible be fixed up some or turned into a top! Could use some dye. price reflects her wear. Measurements taken laying flat (please double): bust: 15" waist; 12" hips: 24"
