Late 1940s/early 1950s vintage playsuit by “Lee Swimplay swimsuits”. Precious relic of beach days past. These used to be worn as swimsuits when needed but generally used for staying on shore & looking pretty & sunbathing. Retro romper sort of vibe that could be styled as an outfit in & of itself, worn as a cover up, or as a swimsuit depending on your preference/comfort. This piece has a sweetheart bust w/ a halter tie, a fitted (& elastic) waist, & shorts that puff out to give a bloomer/knicker look. The top ruffle/shorts are made w/ a floral patterned cotton & the bodice is a solid navy in the same material. The back of the bust/bodice is elasticized which allows it to accommodate many different measurements & remain very flattering and breathable. In good VTG condition with no major flaws.
