1940s/1950s Circa Cocktail Dress

This black beauty is ACTUALLY a vintage dress made from a sheer rayon-like material (no tags on this potentially homemade garment). The lace bodice in the front is also sheer and appears to be a crimson black whereas the rest of the dress is black (extra small/small). In the front there is a belt loop remaining (the only one) and the zipper in back could use a replacement but still functions (there is, as pictured, a small tear along the zipper seam near the waist from stress but can be repaired; the clasp at the neckline also needs a little TLC as the receiving end of the hook is MIA). This frock is a work of art, a piece of history. It is waiting for the right person to resurrect her back to being the life of the party and she has been thus priced accordingly.
