1946 Vintage Book: Foretaste of Glory by Jesse Stuart. Published by E.P. Dutton & Company. With Dust Jacket A collection of interconnected stories set in the small town of Blakesburg, Kentucky. The narrative revolves around the townspeople's reactions to a spectacular display of the Northern Lights on September 18, 1941, which they mistakenly believe to be a sign of Judgment Day. This 79 year old book is in overall fair to good condition for its age: • Cover: dust jacket has marks, wear and tear • Spine: marks and wear at ends • Pages: overall good condition tearing with small sections missing on the tops of a couple pages (does not affect text, see picture). Did not notice any significant age marks • Edges: rough cut fore edge, age marks and darkening • Measures approximately 8" x 5.75" Please see all pictures as well to help determine condition (zoom in).
