1949 Vintage Homer Laughlin Creamer and Sugar Bowl - Many mistakenly call this the Virginia Rose pattern, but it is not. Many "patterns " emerged during this period, and have been labeled "Virgina Rose" ( originally designed and released in 1929), when actually the SHAPE of the Plates make it the Virginia Rose. Many floral patterns exist that are very similar. This set is sometimes called the "Fluffy Rose" but even then there is a variety of that group as well. This is a creamer and sugar bowl. This set does NOT have a lid - but in some of the patterns a lid did not exist. I am not sure if this one did or not.
J- October 49 - year - N - plant where it was made N stands for Newel Potteries in West Virgina.
