1950’s Cashmere Camel Long Coat VGUC Vintage Clean size 10/12, Crescendo Harbro

This was Aunt Hazel’s “going out” coat. Beautiful camel colored Cashmere coat with 2 slide front pockets and 3 gorgeous chrysanthemum rhinestone embellished buttons. Labeled Crescendo Hand Tailored by Harbro for Arcade Fashion Shop in Winston Salem, North Carolina. This was a bustling shop for the most fashionable woman in the 1950’s, located downtown among lunch counter restaurants and the Court House. Aunt Hazel was a lady of society, volunteering at her church and playing bridge every Thursday morning. This coat fits as a size 10/12, check measurements, as there isn’t a size tag. It is in very good vintage condition, please see below last pictures for flaws. There are 3 check marks, 1 on front beside left pocket, on right back arm, & left shoulder. There are some stains on the satin lining which dry cleaning may remove. The rest of the coat is in Excellent Condition! Lining looks like it was restitched at some point but looks professional. Pockets intact, no holes, buttons are very fancy, I don’t know if they’re original because they’re in new condition, but really accent this coat beautifully. So many lovely understated details in design and stitching. Lightweight but warm, daytime to evening wear, this coat is a wardrobe staple. Aunt Hazel would be proud to see it go to someone who would love it like she did.
