1950’s Vintage Crouch & Fitzgerald Snake Skin Shoulder Purse. High end beautiful purse. In fantastic condition for its age. Crouch & Fitzgerald purses were carried by the likes of Jackie Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor to name a few. The interior of this purse shows very little wear. The base of purse is perfect. If you have any questions please let me know. Crouch and Fitzgerald were founded in 1839 by George Crouch and Andrew Fitzgerald. Initially they made items more along the lines of leather traveling cases before shifting gears to produce high end trunks for the wealthy in NY. In fact, they provided luggage for the Roosevelts. The company is famous for the quality of its leather goods. It's a shame they closed down around 2017. Very few businesses manage to stay open for well over a hundred years.
