1950s VOLUP PLUS SIZE Catalina brand black nylon pleated skirt swimsuit

1950s Catalina black nylon pleated skirt swimsuit RARE VOLUP!! Super collectible 1950s black nylon Catalina skirted playsuit Features convertible/removable straps with buttonholes to attach to inner buttons, flattering princess seams, boning at bust and waist, and an A line pleated skirt. Pleated design along top of sweetheart neckline with three buttoned tabs. Fastens with size zipper and inner hooks and eyes. It appears that the usual panty lining was removed. However, no one will notice if you wear it with your own swim bottoms (or wear it as a cute coverup instead :) Otherwise, she’s in quite good and wearable shape! Elastic is in excellent shape and doesn’t seem to have weathered at all. It appears that someone went in and hand stitched inside to help the pleats keep their shape. I think these could easily be removed with a careful hand should you wish to. (Sorry I don’t have the correct mannequin to display her properly.) Label reads Catalina, size 20/42.
