1950s mid century modern faux tortoiseshell basket purse

pretty sure it’s celluloid, as it has a slight camphor smell, and is slightly warped. very cute design, though, reminiscent of mid century modern or art deco. basket lid opens about 90 degrees, and closes with a snap closure, which still feels quite strong. interior: 3.75”W x 9.75”L x 2.5”H
