1953 Boy Scouts 3rd Jamboree Conservation Pack & Jamboree in Photos Recap Book

1953 vintage. Includes Conservation pack for the 3rd annual Boy Scout Jamboree at Irvine Ranch, Newport Beach, California and the Jamboree in Pictures souvenir photo recap book sent to participants after the jamboree. The folder of the conservation pack and the papers/maps, etc have bends, folds, wear as shown in photos. Even includes original train itinerary for the Inland Empire Council of Boy Scouts from Spokane to California. I do not know the completeness of the conservation pack, but all materials found within are included. The 1953 Jamboree in Pictures showcases the grandeur of hosting the 45,000 Boy Scouts at Irvine Ranch. This event was HUGE! Major stars including Bob Hope, Debbie Reynolds, Danny Kaye, Jimmie Stewart, Roy Rogers & Trigger, and Dottie Lamour, plus many others. Actors, comedians, archery & whip-cracking demonstrators, Native American dances & demonstrations as well as many, many others graced the stages. Many different exhibits and participatory events like arrowhead making, gold panning, burro packing, and pottery making were available for the boys to take part in. Scouts participated from all over the world-21 different countries and their photos are captured in this book. This book shows the enormous event in its entirety. It is in incredible condition with no bends or tears and just the slightest rubs on the edges. This was a truly historic event and any collector of Boy Scout memorabilia would be proud to have this book!
