Great Condition for its age.
This collection of recipes is called the Household Hi-Speed Cookbook. It was complied by Ida Migliario in 1956! It is a recipe rolodex of 1000, yes, 1000 OLD recipes covering everything from Crisp Corn Wafers to Chocolate Cake and ANYTHING in between. There's recipes for appetizers, soups, casseroles, meats, breads, cakes, pies, puddings, cookies, muffins and so much more! Not only is it an ingenious design for its time, it's also a little piece of fifties history. The recipes are ring bound and cannot be removed. They are divided into categories and numbered. A lid rolls back to reveal the recipe cards and cover them when not in use. This is the perfect retro accessory for a vintage fifties kitchen. The recipe box is medium pink with black knobs. The name of the file is embossed in black on the front edge. It measures 9"H x 9"W x 5"D and has a circular shape. It is in great, clean condition. The pages have yellowed with age. The rolling mechanism is fully functional. Very Rare!
