1950s Korean War Era “Ike” Jacket. Little piece of history, sourced in Detroit. This is a late 1940s post WWII to 1950s Korean War Marine jacket. Army olive 🫒 drab green wool jacket, made to be stylishly cropped with a narrow waist. Nicknamed an “Ike” jacket after Eisenhower, worn as a dress jacket by American soldiers stationed in Europe at the tail end of WWII and during the Korean War 🪖 Slightly padded shoulders, two breast pocket and hidden buttons. Great vintage condition. Men’s size 38R, about the smallest a men’s jacket you can get. Has a very narrow waist when buttoned, shown on a women’s size 4. Flat measurements when buttoned: Pit to pit: 19” Waist/bottom: 16” Overall length: 25” Shoulder tips: 17” Sleeve length: 24”
