1960's Esther Wolf - Houston | Karam - NY Voluminous Vintage Luxurious Caftan

A true collector's item. It's Gorgeous! Extremely rare caftan from one of Houston's historical high end boutiques, Esther Wolf. Esther Wolf and husband E. Joseph Wolf opened the original store in 1962, with McCann purchasing it in 1985, then purchased by its current owner in 1996 who relocated and renamed the store. The Union Tag, which fell off while laundering it, indicates 1964 - 1973 which verifies that it was offered for sale at the original store under the Wolf's early days of ownership. I marked it as a Large, but since it is so voluminous, it could fit a smaller size and perhaps a larger size too. For larger sizes, you may have to adjust the snap closure at the wrists if you have large wrists. The cuff measures 7.5'' when fully opened and as you can see from the photo, there is room to move the snaps to enlarge the wrist opening if you needed to.
