1960s Pair of Lounge Chairs by Eero Aarnio, Finland

This is a pair of round rattan mushroom lounge chairs, designed by Finnish designer Eero Aarnio in the 1960s. This design is sometimes attributed to Isamu Kenmochi, and is also referred to as “in the style of” Eero Aarnio. We have been in touch with Aarnio’s archives director in Finland, and they have confirmed that this is indeed Eero’s design. The woven rattan on these pieces remains in terrific condition, having two or three small broken pieces of reed in reverse. One of the chairs has two spots on the seat. Overall, these chairs are in extremely good condition. Each chair measures 26.5 inches long, 28.5 inches wide. Chairs are currently located in 19610, with shipping easily facilitated.
