This is a 1968 Bing and Grondahl (B&G) blue and white Christmas Eve plate. It has embossed details, a high gloss finish and hand painted rich blue glaze. There are no cracks or crazing on the plate. There are two holes on the back so it can be hung on the wall. Bing and Grondahl (B & G) is a Danish company that has made plates for various holidays for over 100 years. Bing & Grøndahl, a Danish porcelain manufacturer, was founded in 1853 by the sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl and merchant brothers Meyer Hermann Bing and Jacob Herman Bing. The trademark backstamp for Bing & Grøndahl (B&G) porcelains is the three towers derived from the Coat of Arms of Copenhagen. This plate is in their Christmas Eve series. The mid-20th century era and production style add to its charm and decorative appeal. To honor the giver of Christmas dinner "Jule After" is a Danish tradition to thank the family.
