A piece like this could probably tell a great story… Who is Nancy? What made that team go undefeated? Where is Shaw’s Tavern? Pieces like this could write their own book. We did a little research to see if this jacket is linked to the famous Shaws Tavern in Washington DC or if this league was affiliated with any College Sports. Sadly, there was not much information found. Considering it’s time period where sexism was left completely unchecked, it’s hard to find great stories about great pieces if it doesn’t spotlight those privileged by stereotypes. It’s still a piece worth wondering about! A piece whose story is out there.
