1980 Vintage YMCA International Allies National Flag Display Grand Rapids MI

This is a hand crafted flag display from 1980, displayed for several years/decades at Southeast YMCA in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It holds the flags of various countries, representing the outreach/partnerships the Y has/had internationally. The base is back Painted wood, and measures roughly 24" x 6" x 6." It has an engraved metal Plaque, hand painted text, and 55 flags with 55 corresponding holes for placement of the flags. All the flags are present, and most of them are in excellent condition with minimal wear. A couple of the flags are haning at an angle because they're missing one of their staples that holds the fabric to the mast (easily fixed via placement of staple or pin); one of the flags is significantly worn, with degradation/weakening of the fabric...it's threadbare, and just kind of hanging there, although it's still together in one piece.
