1980s / 1990s Carole Little Colorful Blouson Plus Size Maxi Dress

Did someone say “color?!?” Over the top creation by Carole Little which I’m dating late 1980s / early 1990s. Features: - a wide smocked waistline that creates a blouson silhouette - a faux overshirt that is actually sewn directly to the dickie placket (can i say that?) - a happy rainbow of textured buttons down the bodice center - light, flowy rayon In overall excellent condition with no apparent fade, but with one tiny puncture near the hem on the side as shown in the last photo. A very flexible fit, including length, as the smocking can be kept at the waist or be pulled down to elongate the garment. It is shown here fitting beautifully on a size 12 to 14 form, with 42”/34”/42” proportions with room to spare. Length is 47” as displayed.
