A potent femme fatale dress, fashioned from rich black velvet, and rich blue brocade satin. Very theatrical in person....Iconic 80's larger than life FLOWER details (it is very dramatic in person, more so than in the pics) Very Curve flattering cut that elongates, this dress fit like 2nd skin, with no give or stretch, long side slit Versatile styling, wear the sleeves up or off the shoulder. Rear zip. Fully lined. NOT stretchy. RARE beautiful condition, no holes or stains. Velvet in excellent condition as well. Any uneveness or lightening of color shown on the fabric is due to camera flash, they do not exist in person. Stutzman and Wallace's designs were Art Deco throwbacks, with an ornate, theatrical look. Eugene Alexander became known for three-dimensional embroidery and trims and metallic fabrics, and their dresses were worn at the Oscars, the Grammys and George H.W. Bush's 1992 inauguration. The label dressed Whitney Houston, Elizabeth Taylor, Jane Fonda, Sarah Jessica Parker, Loretta Lynn, and dozens more. Size 4, but fits much smaller due to vintage sizing. See measurements and photos.
