1980s Gallery Brand Red Plaid Wool Blanket Coat and Matching Scarf

I fell in love with this gorgeous and most unusual 1980's Gallery brand wool blanket coat and scarf set last year. Sadly, this year I have decided it's a bit too large on me, and so I've decided to send her out into the world, just in time for the holidays and winter chill. This lovely wool coat is unlined, but warm. Both ends of the front placket are adorned with a generous 2.5" fringe from neck to hem, though only one fringed edge shows when coat is fully buttoned up. There are two deep pockets, which are lined, and a top internal button to secure the inside corner. The tartan pattern consists of a very bold red base, interwoven with black and purplish-blue plaid. The matching scarf measures an amazing 80" long by 11" wide, with the same fringe at either end. It can be worn around the neck, or the head, as an impromptu hood. The coat's sleeves are quite long, and I believe they're intended to be rolled up, as the inside has a neat French seam that's about 3" long. Overall, this wool coat and scarf set is in great vintage condition. I have found no moth or other holes, and there is just the slightest bit of pilling. Dry cleaning is suggested on tag. This coat is mysteriously labeled an XS, but the flat lay measurements are as follows: Across shoulders: 22" (there are dropped shoulders...I measured from tips of shoulder pads) Across chest: 24" Across waist: 22" Shoulder to bottom hem: 48" Shoulder to sleeve hem (unrolled, end of shoulder pad to hem): 22"
