This item is vintage, and although it has just been shelf sitting for many years, due to age, there may be slight discoloration. There aren't any chips or cracks in it. The paint looks, to me, "watered-down," but that's the way it was when it was purchased. It does need a good wipe down cleaning.

Sam the Olympic Eagle was the mascot for the 1984 Olympic season—he paid tribute to the bronze eagle which welcomed the winner at the finish line of the stadium race at ancient Olympic Games and also to the eagle, symbol of America, and was named “Sam” after “Uncle Sam,” a historic icon. The original concept of “Sam the Olympic Eagle” was created by C Robert Moore, Walt Disney Productions.
