1986 WATERFORD CRYSTAL CHRISTMAS Plate / ‘3 French Hens’ / 8 Inches / Scratches

Waterford Crystal started producing the finest quality hand cut crystal in Ireland in 1783. Rising production costs forced the company to move production overseas in 2009 so vintage pieces like this are getting more difficult to find. “The Twelve Days of Christmas” is a sparkling series of Waterford Crystal giftware that commemorates the rich history of one of the world’s best loved carols. The collectible plates were only available from 1984 to 1995. This plate practically glows with all its facets and the deeply-cut maid design looks very three dimensional from the front. The Waterford mark is acid etched on the side and the 8 inch plate is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It does have some scratches around the edges (see photo).
