1989 Sally Christopher Elephant Pie Plate 6.5" Pike Place Market Seattle Vintage

Amazing Sally Christopher pottery pie plate handmade in 1989 and sold at Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington. This plate features an elephant - quite the departure from Christopher's typical animal subject choices! This would make a great decor piece and could also function as a shallow fruit bowl. The background behind the elephant is greenish blue. The rim has a steely blue border. The outside is painted a speckled white, which appears light gray. It's signed by the artist on the back. The plate measures just under 11" diameter at the top; the rim is just under 2" tall. This plate is in good pre-owned condition with no chips.
