esposiae Hi there! It may be helpful to do a little research. A different date on the swing tag and the tush tag is no indication of a rarity. This is very common. Also a 1998 tush tag indicates it is a 6th generation tush tag and a 5th generation swing tag, which isn’t rare at all. There is a lot more to identifying rare beanie babies than meets the eye. esposiae @pirateforhire aboutbeanies.com is a great place to start. I have also found that antique appraiser sites are also great references because their jobs depend on authentication and deciphering the rare from the common. Some appraisers really specialize in toys, including beanie babies.
